The Role of the Parents’ Association

The parents’ association exists to support the board of management of the school in any way it can. This can mean fund raising, providing help for school events, providing events outside of the standard school curriculum, or providing help where the parents have knowledge and expertise that would benefit the school.

It is entirely voluntary. All parents with children in the school are by extension members of the parents’ association.

The parents’ association has no role in the management or day-to-day operation of the school. The parents’ association exists solely as a support to the board of management, and the board oversees its activities. If you have any questions about the school or education you should, in the first instance, make an appointment to meet the teacher or the principal through the school office.
